LIEWOOD is certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), the world’s leading textile processing standard for
organic fibres.
GOTS stipulates requirements throughout the entire supply chain - from virgin fibre to final product - for both the ecological and labour conditions in textile and apparel manufacturing using
organically produced raw materials. In addition, the certification includes welfare standards for animal husbandry and prohibits genetically modified organisms.
Our certification to GOTS helps to ensure compliance with each of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, and actively
cooperating with all relevant stakeholders.

At Konges Sløjd, we are GOTS certified. The Global Organic Textile Standard is an international standard for the processing of organic textiles that has both an eye on environmental and social criteria throughout the value chain.
The certification ensures that the materials are organic and that they have not been treated with pesticides, dangerous chemicals and fluorinated chemistry. In addition, GOTS sets criteria for working conditions, such as minimum wages, working environment, working hours and age.

In 2022 we got our FSC certification. The Forest Stewardship Council is an international standard that ensures that the wood we use in our products – mainly toys - comes from responsible forestry.
The FSC label is a guarantee that animals and plant life are protected and that the people who work in the forest are guaranteed training, safety equipment and decent wages.

What is CE marking? Many products require a CE mark to be sold within the European Union (EU).
The CE mark means that the manufacturer guarantees that the product meets the safety requirements set by the EU for that particular product.
All products must be safe, but not all products must be CE marked. Examples of products that may not be CE marked are furniture, prams, pacifiers and other children's items. The products that may not be CE marked are tested by the laboratory using standards, developed specifically for each type of product, and they are as safe as products with a CE mark.
